Welcome to Salt Spring Woodworks
Salt Spring Woodworks specializes in the decorative arts in wood. We show and represent many of the best furniture makers, woodworkers, joiners and turners in British Columbia.
Our constantly changing collection includes: one-of-a-kind and limited edition fine and studio furniture; wood turnings; kitchen wood arts; and country, folk and rustic woodworks. Along with our wood arts, we also exhibit paintings and sculptures by Salt Spring artists.
From the very fine to the funky and much in between, we have rare and wonderful handmade masterpieces of beautiful woods, fresh designs and fine craft.

Our History
Salt Spring Woodworks opened in 2004 in a 1914 log cabin and a converted woodwork shop. Beginning with a line of six classic solid wood bookcases, designed and developed by the proprietors, Celia Duthie and Nicholas Hunt who both hail from long careers in the Canadian book industry; the enterprise has expanded to include work by more than sixty different woodworkers from all over British Columbia and an impressive collection of rare and museum quality work.
The perfect home for Country Furniture.
Celia and Nick also bring to the business experience in forest management and sustainable forestry, and, as dedicated 'local patriots', believe strongly in BC value-added wood products. Furniture and wood arts are very high value-added products, pieces to cherish and pass on, the future antiques and heirlooms for our time.
BC furniture making is flourishing and a hot new generation of furniture makers is emerging and drawing serious attention. This is an exciting new cultural industry to watch!
Come and see it at Salt Spring Woodworks. That's what we're about.
